This study investigated the influence of sports administrators’ inputs on grassroots sports development in the Delta South Senatorial District of Delta State, Nigeria. The purpose was to examine how administrative efforts, policies, funding decisions, facility management, and organisational support provided by sports administrators affect the growth and sustainability of grassroots sports within the region. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design, of the ex-post-facto method was employed, and the stratified random sampling technique was adopted from the subgroups to select 339 from the 668 targeted grassroots stakeholders in the area under study. The instrument used for this study, i.e. a self–designed questionnaire titled The Provision of Sports Programme Scheduling and Available Sport Facilities to Grassroot Sport Development as Perceived by Stakeholders in Delta South Senatorial District” (PSPSASFGSDPS).. The data were collated and analysed, using per cent and chi-square to determine the influence of the independent variables on the dependent of a 0.05 level of significance. Findings revealed that sports administrators’ inputs—particularly in areas of resource allocation, facility provision, talent identification, training programs, and policy implementation—significantly influence grassroots sports development in the district. The study also found that inadequate funding, poor supervision, and limited infrastructural facilities remain major constraints to effective grassroots sports promotion. It was concluded that proactive administrative engagement is essential for enhancing participation, talent nurturing, and sports excellence at the grassroots level. The study recommended that the government and stakeholders should strengthen the capacity of sports administrators through continuous training, adequate funding, and improved infrastructure to ensure sustainable grassroots sports development in the Delta South Senatorial District and beyond.
