The provision of good health and well-being as aright to be enjoyed by citizens in a nation is the major responsibility of the National health care delivery system. Despite Nigerian’s strategic position in Africa as the most populous nation, the country is greatly underserved in the health care sphere. Health Education is a process with intellectual, psychological, and social dimensions relating to activities which increase the abilities of people to make improved and informed decisions affecting their personal, family, and community well-being. Health education is essential in the health care delivery system as it helps in the dissemination of knowledge of health issues that affect patients and the public. Some problems such as paucity of funds, public illiteracy, and communication barrier might hinder the functionality of health education in health care delivery system. This paper, therefore, recommend that proper health education, legislation, and policies which will facilitate health education in Healthcare delivery system should be enacted.
